Charity Work

I like to give back and support others as much as I can.  It doesn’t need to have anything to do with my heritage or my interests but sometimes I hear these awful things happening in the world and I think what can I do to help? images-charityCritically needed funds and support never go amiss and one of the great privileges of running a small business is being able to give generously to the community.

I am blessed enough to have my health, a loving family and my own business so to help change and raises awareness of a disease or child or anyone who needs help really moves me.

These are some of the recent charities I have supported.

Funding Neuro
Funding Neuro funds research focused on solving the common problems which hinder progress towards cures and effective treatments for all conditions which affect the brain and spinal column.

I have volunteered at events, like the Ladies Lunch, and helping set up and run stalls at the Mhor Festival and Bearsden Highland Games.

WellFound
WellFound are a water and sanitation charity working in West Africa. Their mission is to change lives by providing clean drinking water and sanitation facilities to those in desperate need. When I met Kennedy from the charity I really liked what they did and Kennedy’s enthusiasm. It is great to know that a simple well can make such a huge difference to the lives of the people in those villages. It was great to know that none of the water was wasted and that run off water was used to provide toilets and grow market gardens  and sell crops to make a bit of an income.

For several months I ran Pilates classes in Greenford to raise money and awareness of the charity, with all money raised going to the charity.
In June 2016, I ran Pilates classes during their first Ladies Charity Golf Day, which raised a lot of money to help reach the charity’s target goal.

Arbonne Charitable Foundation
The Arbonne Charitable Foundation’s mission is to provide support for programmes and opportunities that promote the development of confidence and self-esteem in teenage girls and boys.

In June 2016, I did the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge with a group of 5 others. This was a tough challenge as we walked 23 miles in 13 hours, but well worth it! We raised a lot of money for the Arbonne Charitable Foundation, which I know will help many young people.

Do you have a charity you’d like me to promote?

Always happy to help raise money, products, volunteer hours and charitable outreach efforts to good causes just nominate me to help if you have a charity you would like to raise the profile of.
